Hornchurch mum’s rage to urinate on her house

A mother from Hornchurch has expressed her disgust at delivery drivers who urinate in the back of her house.
Sarah Walter, of Hornchurch Road, says she had to put up signs asking people not to urinate on her property after catching four people doing so in the past few months.
“People need to stop being so gross,” she told the Recorder. “All of a sudden, the neighborhood has become a public restroom.”
Sarah said she noticed the problem after security concerns led her to install Ring cameras at the back of her house, which overlooks a narrow lane.
She claimed a number of the individuals pictured were delivery drivers.
A woman – who can be seen wearing an SBL courier suit in the Ring footage – was caught in the act by Sarah’s husband Andrew.
She can be seen putting down two bundles, before crouching down to urinate.
After being asked to step in front of the Ring camera by Andrew, she excuses herself, retrieves the package, and leaves the area.
According to Sarah, the woman then delivered their packages to their doorstep.
A spokesperson for SBL Couriers said: ‘We are concerned to hear this as this is not the level of service we expect from any of the independent drivers we work with.
“We are investigating and will take appropriate action if necessary.”
Sarah said the problem made her home an unpleasant place to live and expressed concern for her three children – a 10-year-old girl, an eight-year-old girl and a 22-month-old boy.
“The two girls, they pick up twigs and sticks and think they’re Harry Potter wands and throw them in the corner that everyone is peeing on,” she noted.
Sarah said she complained to the police, but although she said they had a “good relationship” with their Safer Neighborhood team, these issues were “a bit low on their list”.
“I want them to understand there’s a Sainsbury’s down the road, don’t come pull your pants down and pee in my garden,” she said.
