We all buy a lot of merchandise that comes in a variety of packages. Especially with the advent of e-commerce, now we are seeing that packaging and packaging has gained a lot of attention nowadays. We sometimes notice that the design of packaging for a product is as important as the design of that product itself. While considering safe transportation, an important factor is the distance involved as well as the time needed to travel. Obviously, the strength of the packaging is a direct function of the distance and time required to transport the goods. The greater the distance and time required, the stronger the packaging must be to protect the product from all external factors such as humidity, wear during handling, etc.

Additionally, if the goods are to be transported via cold freezers or stored in cold stores, separate packaging materials should be required to withstand the extreme cold.

3. Attractiveness:

Mainly the center of attention when it comes to retail packaging. This is used to grab the attention of end consumers. sometimes perfectly designed packaging helps the product stand out in a showroom or supermarket and thus becomes the driving force behind the sale of this product. This is very useful especially in the case of new products that do not have existing brand recall value. The material used, the color combination, etc. are very important in such cases.

4. Cost savings:

This is very important for the manufacturer or the merchant who repackages the goods. Important cost factors are: material used, labor used, packaging layers, printing costs and the wastage suffered. While the others are pretty obvious, let me explain the last one, which is the waste involved. All packaging material comes in factory-made sheets or rolls. These are usually standard sizes, while the size of each new product produced may be different from other types of products.

Waste, if not eliminated as much as possible, during packaging design adds to the “unit” cost and leads to reduced profits and also impacts the competitiveness of the product.

1. Corrugated cardboard: It means “corrugated paper” (for corrugated paper, see below), when glued to another flat sheet of paper.

4. Compressive strength: This means that the maximum load box can withstand before it starts to bend or deform.

5. Packaging: The action of bringing the box to a state of humidity and temperature in equilibrium with a suitable atmosphere. Please note that moisture is the enemy of any paper box.

6. Shine: It is this property of a substance that makes it reflect light dramatically. Usually made by a thin film of plastic or glossy paper to make the box look good.
